Pjotr Sapegin’s Madama Butterfly animation

 Pjotr Sapegin’s Madama Butterfly animation

Madame butterfly’s animation is about this women that is all alone on this island. One day a Caucasian man arrives and clearly from the clothes he is wearing it is clear he is sailor. After the attraction of both of them he leaves and she gets a baby.

In my view this is just a cycle that keeps happening but all we see is the end where the man take the child and leaves. This can be combined with the belief that love hurts so much that such as the robot you want to rip yourself appart.

But at the end we are all  the same inside. Also the fact that something that we believe is so close to us and can never leave. Like the umbilical cord that was attached to the baby with the mom. Even then it shows how the strong bond can even snap with a click of a finger.

Something that was really strong was the ending of the animation on how the butterfly came from the bugging guy of the animation just to show that something like this happens over and over just like a cycle and that if you think something like that happens only to you, well that is not true it happens to everyone.

The fact of the animation also showing that the women is a robot is another very strong fact. As after a break up loads of people will try to reconciliate the person by saying we are all human we have emotions but weirdly here it is a robot, is it trying to say that humans are now starting to working like a machine over and over as a cycle nothing changing ?
