Performance Art

Performance art Project

Performance
The performance itself was to wake around the river walk while having a speaker in my backpack. As I was walking I would sit down and pull my speaker. The speaker had a speech concerning research. I would tear the journals and threw them in my bag.

Performance meaning

The meaning behind it is to bring attention to people of how research is being blinded by distraction. The whole fact of breaking the piece and looking at is to show how people don't take time to look over the things they read and rather just accept it and move on.

Such as computer after installing a software it is known to have a check box to have the user accept the rules and by crossing the the agree box without read the commitment. Too many people believe what people say and do not check. People feel too comfortable trusting people or being to lazy to read something that they will just scratch it off and not look at it or pay attention to it until something affects them.

Three Performance artist

The three favorite performance artist is  Yves Klein, Zhang Huan and Frank B. For all the three artists they were connected through the use of putting their body as the art. Their body was the art itself

For Yve Klein he worked a lot with the use of painting with the human body as a brush. He would make the body of people put on paint unto themselves and would tell them how to lie on the canvas and where to move. It was clearly out of the norms. This similarly happened to Zhang Huan. Zhang would use from the body of people to create his performance art. In one of his performance, he uses the ashes of someone to create a sculpture. Because it was made out of the ashes of a person as a sign of respect nobody was ever to try to move it.

Abit differently than the two other Frank B. used his own body as the canvas. He would use
in one of his performance, he would bring back to his childhood. He would sit on a swing in naked while revealing his tattoo on his body. While that happened there would be someone playing the piano.

Clearly in both the artist would use their body with a different meaning but would physically use their body with a hidden meaning. For all three none was using the technology aspect all was mean for straight to point of understanding and paying full attention to their performance.

In all three artists, they used the body in the way people would no believe should be used in the normal norms and made people question if it would aloud. Behind all three artists art, there has always been altough a hidden big meaning.

As far as what can be done with performance art it is extremely difficult to know specifically as there is so much to possibly do. Performance art and now starting to play major roles in the society thanks to technology and more of the performance can start going viral around the world thanks to social media. Therefore important awareness of nature and gun control is a possible way for where performance can go in the future
